Himarayasugi trees and Mikado bread

Walking in between the temples at Yanaka reveal a large himarayasugi tree (Cedrus deodara) towering over a small bakery. This area is a well known walking hot-spot. The tree that stands today was planted by the bakery’s owner’s grandfather before the war, and reaches a total of 15 meters today.
