Aomori

Aomori is the Capital city of Aomori prefecture where locates in the northern of Honshu. Agriculture is popular having almost half the share of the apple made in Japan. As an event, "Nebuta Matsuri" is famous. Out of all, the "Aomori Nebuta Matsuri" which have big floats (dashi) circle around the city is the largest festival having over 300 thousands people come visit. There are 12 nebuta (floats) creators now, 2010. They create nebuta with there own style. A famous traditional food is "jappa soup" which have the leftover of codfish or salmon and vegetable stewed.
