Yamanashi has Mt. Fuji in the southern part of the prefecture and the Fuji you can see from this side is called the back Fuji. Yamanashi is also surrounded by Minami-Apls, Yatsugatake, Okuchichibu sanchi, and has the share of 40% of mineral water in Japan. Also, they are famous for grape, peach, and cherry and since Yamanashi is close from Tokyo, there are many tourists visiting to do grape picking or cherry picking. "Houtou" is the local food, which is a miso soup with noodles and vegetable.
