Iya no Kazura-bashi (bridge)

This is a Kazura-bashi, or vine bridge, found in hidden valley Iya. The actinidia arguta growing in the forest was used to build this bridge. It is 45m long, 2m in width, 14 m above water, and weighs about 5 tons. This bridge used to be the only way to cross the river. Every 3 years, the bridge is being repaired.
