Meigetsu-in
- Published 2010.7.13
Given that there are a lot of hydrangeas planted on the temple grounds, Meigetsuin has also become known as "hydrangea temple." Part of the larger Zenko-ji Temple which was built by Tokimune Hōjō on the remains of Saimyō-ji Temple, built by his father, it offers a beautiful combination of bamboo and hydrangea. It becomes crowded quickly, so I suggest going in the morning.
