Since Kochi has the warm weather throughout the year, there are many sports team come and have a camp before the season. As tourist spot, there are Ryugadou, one of the 3 Great Cave in Japan, Houraku-ji, a national treasure, and Katsurahama, known to be the great place to sea the moon. The Yosakoi Matsuri held in August is one of the 4 Great Festival in Shikoku region and lately, Yosakoi is being held all around Japan too. "Sawachi ryouri" and "Utsubo no tataki" are local food.
