Ueno Toshogu Shrine

The Toshogu shrine is found in Ueno Park, and was constructed in 1627 by Takatora Todo. The current shrine was rebuilt in 1951 by Tokugawa Iemitsu.

Tokugawa Ieyasu, Tokugawa Yoshimune, and Tokugawa Keiki are enshrined at Toshogu.

In the shrine area is Botan Park, which is famous for its peonies in spring and winter.
