Natsume Soseki’s former residence

After returning to Japan from his trip to the United Kingdom, Natsume Soseki lived here for three years. Famous for his works “I am a Cat,” and “Kokoro,” Natsume Soseki was a writer from the Meiji and Taisho periods. He wrote his first composition, “I am a Cat,” at this house.
