This three-storey wooden building survived the Taisho era earthquake and the aftermaths of war and is still standing. It is regarded as a cultural heritage spot.
Hantei carries over thirty different varieties of kushiage which vary per season. There is also a coffee shop inside the building called “Sabo Hantei,” where one can enjoy some sweets.
