Dangozaka (団子坂 lit. dumpling hill)

With a unique name, this area cannot be described anyway else. There are two explanations for how the name Dangozaka came to be. First, there was said to be a dumpling store at the bottom of the hill. Second, it was said that if one were to trip and fall down the hill, they would look like a dumpling rolling down. This area is mentioned in many pieces of literature by famous artists Edogawa Ranpo, Futabatei Shimei, and Masaoka Shiki. It might be interesting to read some of their works before taking a stroll here.
