Sea Park (Umi no Koen)

The Sea Park is the only swimming beach area in Yokohama City. It was developed by the Kanazawa Reclamation Project, and though it looks like a natural beach, it is actually man-made, the sand having come from Chiba prefecture. The beaches at Sea Park are wide, shallow, and are in no danger of large waves, making it a perfect place for children to play safely. Also, not only can you enjoy clamming at low tide for asari (manila clams) and other types which are found naturally, it is also a great place for a barbeque, surrounded by abundant nature, the ocean, sandy beaches, and trees.
