Hamarikyu Gardens (浜離宮) is an example of one of the famous gardens of Edo Period. It is a large landscape garden in Central Tokyo (in the Shiodome area) that is located alongside Tokyo Bay. The garden consists of seawater ponds that change level with the tides and intakes seawater from Edo bay (Tokyo Bay). In the center of the seawater ponds there is a teahouse on an island where visitors can rest and enjoy the scenery.
